L.A. Kings Win 4-0 Against the Montreal Canadiens… Again
On Dec. 7, the L.A. Kings (15-4-3) headed on over to Centre Bell in Montreal to go up against the Canadiens (11-11-3) for the second time this season.
The score for this game would be the same as it was the first time these teams went up against one another on Nov. 25. Both games ended with a score of 4-0, in favor of the L.A. Kings.
One would have thought the Montreal Canadiens would come back hungrier than ever after being shut out by the Kings, but that was not the case.
Two goals would be scored during the first period, the first would be scored by defenseman Drew Doughty, 8:13 minutes into the game.
Right wing Quinton Byfield would score his first goal of the night at minute 17:46 of the first period.
The third goal for the Kings would happen with less than two minutes remaining in the second period. Said goal would occur during a power play and would be the second of the night for Byfield.
The final goal for the Kings, would be scored by left wing Trevor Moore during the third period.
The Kings would not only win the game 4-0 against the Montreal Canadiens, but they would also be setting records. The win would set a record within the NHL of the longest streak of wins while on the road.
The L.A. Kings would end the night with a record of 16-4-3, while the Montreal Canadiens would end the night with a record of 11-12-3.
