Lions win again in amazing fashion and the Vikings pick up a win against my Bears. This is the State of the NFC North for Week 6. Here we go!

Detroit Lions

Looks like the Lions will remain on top of these articles for the whole season. That is unless they get a curse put on them for not letting a goat in the building like the Chicago Cubs did.

QB Jared Goff threw for 353 yards and two touchdowns in another spectacular performance. He continues to light his opponents on fire.

Running back David Montgomery, as well as the rushing offense had a quiet game. In a combination of five rushers, plus Goff, the team had a total of 40 rushing yards.

The receiving game was where the action was at for Detroit. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had another amazing performance. Totaling 124 yards and a touchdown. WR Jameson Williams had a solid 50 yards and a touchdown.

Cornerback Will Harris notched a defensive interception for the day. The defense also had one sack on the day. The man behind the sack was linebacker Julian Okwara.

The Lions current record is 5-1. For Week 7 they take on the Baltimore Ravens on the road at 12pm. That game may be one of the last true challenges for the Lions

Green Bay Packers

They didn’t get to bounce back from they lost to the Las Vegas Raiders. They will however, return to action this Sunday at 3:25pm where they take on the Denver Broncos at Mile High.

Well, the Vikings got another win on the season. Too bad for me it was against the Chicago Bears. The final score was 19-13 and surprisingly, the Vikings offense was pretty lukewarm against the Bears. QB Kirk Cousins threw for 181 yards and one touchdown.

The run game for the Vikings was as quiet as ever. RB Alexander Mattison had 44 rushing yards and that was about it for the ground game. Meanwhile the receiving game for the Vikings was quiet without WR Justin Jefferson, but it still did some damage. Tight end T.J. Hockenson had 50 yards off of six catches. WR K.J. Osborn had 48 yards from four catches. The lone offensive score for the Vikings came from rookie WR Jordan Addison who had 28 yards from three catches.

The Vikings defense had two interceptions. One from CB Byron Murphy and the other from middle linebacker Jordan Hicks. The defense had five sacks on Fields. Defensive end Danielle Hunter had two sacks to lead the defense. He was complimented by defensive tackle Harrison Smith, LB D.J. Wonnum, and safety Josh Metellus who each had a sack a piece.

The Vikings now move up to 2-4 on the season. Their next opponent is the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. Should be an intriguing matchup to see.

Chicago bears

Don’t mind the rapper QB on the screen. That’s QB Tyson Bagent who is scheduled to make his first career start this Sunday.

Anyway, Fields did not have a good performance. He threw for 58 yards and one interception. After he got injured, Bagent threw for 83 yards and an interception. The run game was quiet surprisingly. RB D’Onta Foreman ran for 65 yards in a solid performance. The lone score for the Bears offense came from a two yard touchdown run from Bagent.

The receiving game was room temperature from the Bears. WR D.J. Moore had 51 yards from five catches. The next leading contributor was WR Darnell Mooney who had 48 yards after collecting two catches.

The defense did a surprisingly good job against one of the best offenses in the league. LB Tremaine Edmunds almost had an interception before it was ruled a fumble off of a sack from LB T.J. Edwards. Other than those two, S Jaquan Brisker and DE DeMarcus Walker each combined for a sack.

The Bears drop to 1-5 on the year. Their next opponent is the Las Vegas Raiders in which will be an intriguing matchup since both teams are without their starting QBs.
