Jayden Daniels, Quarterback, Washington Commanders:
The Front-Runner
Washington Commanders’ quarterback Jayden Daniels has set the league on fire to start the season and left the other rookies chasing his dust. Not only is he favored for Offensive Rookie of the Year, but at this pace, he could be a serious contender for MVP as the end of the season gets closer. Daniels, the No.2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has been setting record after record. Starting in Week 3 against the Cincinatti Bengals, Daniels completed 91.3% of his passes, which broke the completion percentage in a game record previously held by quarterback Dak Prescott at 88.9% that has been standing since 2016. Then, against the Arizona Cardinals, he finished with the highest completion percentage through four games since quarterback Tom Brady in 2007. Daniels, through four games has looked confident in the pocket, made smart decisions, and has the Commanders in position to win the NFC East the first time since 2020.

Malik Nabers, Wide Receiver, New York Giants:
A Strong Contender
New York Giants’ wide receiver Malik Nabers has also set a record of his own this season and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down either. Nabers, the No. 6 overall pick, set an NFL record with at least 20 receptions and three touchdown receptions through a player’s first three games in the league. He has cemented himself as his quarterback Daniel Jones’ favorite target due to his explosiveness after the catch and elite route running. Nabers has a knack for getting open, and with his sticky hands, he reels in anything within his reach and isn't afraid to fight for tough yards.

Other Notable Performances:
While Daniels and Nabers have been the front-runners, other rookies have also made significant contributions. Cade Stover, although ranked 30th in the league for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, has shown flashes of brilliance. His potential and talent suggest that he could be a future star in the NFL.
We can’t discuss Rookie of the Year without talking about wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison Sr. After a worrying start to the season, Harrison shook off any doubts about himself in a brilliant Week 2 game versus the Los Angeles Rams in which, he caught four receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
The race for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year is far from over. With several games left in the season, anything can happen. Fans and analysts alike are eagerly watching to see who will ultimately take home the award. Whether it’s Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, or another rising star, one thing is certain: the future of the NFL is in good hands with these talented rookies.
