DETROIT (PSF) —The Detroit Lions (3-1) defeated the Seattle Seahawks (3-1) at home by a score of 42-29. Quarterback Jared Goff lead the way with 292 passing yards and two touchdowns in the win.

In the victory against Seattle, Goff only threw 18 passes, but he had a perfect game. Throwing 18/18 against Seattle, Goff becomes the quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 10 passes without throwing an incompletion.

In a postgame interview with ESPN reporter Lisa Salters, Goff was asked about his perfect game. He showed signs of shock and confusion on his face, acknowledging that he didn’t even realize he threw for a perfect game.

“Awesome. Yeah, really cool,” Goff said. “It’s a cool thing to have, I guess, but I’m happy we got the win.”

Goff also caught a receiving touchdown that was thrown to him by wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

St. Brown also had a receiving touchdown against the Seahawks, rallying up for six catches and 45 yards. WR Jameson Williams had two catches for 80 yards and one touchdown, these two were the only true receivers to score a touchdown against Seattle.

For the rushing offense, both of Detroit’s rushers had over 10 carries and made it to the endzone.

Running back Jahmyr Gibbs ran outside the numbers 14 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, RB David Montgomery ran up the gut 12 times for 40 yards and one touchdown.

Montgomery also had one reception that resulted in six broken tackles for a 40-yard gain against the Seahawks.

Detroit also had several other receivers shine against their opponents on Sunday. Tight end Sam LaPorta had four receptions for 53 yards, and WR Tim Patrick had two catches for 52 yards against the Seahawks.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Lions had a rough time keeping Seattle in check, but managed to keep themselves in the lead.

QB Geno Smith had 395 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The interception in question was thrown to safety Kerby Joseph.

Smith’s lone touchdown pass was to TE A.J. Barner, who had two catches for 27 yards on the day.

Smith also faced pressure from the Lions pass rush, getting sacked three times by linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez, defensive tackle D.J. Reader, and by a pair of defensive tackles in DT Levi Onwuzurike and DT Alim McNeill.

Against the run, Detroit faced difficulties from RB Kenneth Walker III who had 80 yards and three touchdowns against the Lions.

The Lions are now on their bye week, so they can rest easy after their win against Seattle. Their next opponent won’t be until Week 6, where they will take on the Dallas Cowboys (2-2) in Arlington, Texas.
