After Nick Chubb went down with a leg injury week two against the Steelers, Jerome Ford took over as the starting running back. This past Sunday in week seven, Ford suffered an ankle injury that’s believed to be a low-grade, high right-ankle sprain, according to a source that told Adam Schefter.

At least for the Browns, they added Kareem Hunt back to the RB room in week three following the Chubb injury, so he will take over as the starting RB until Ford returns.

Ford has rushed for 344 yards on 78 touches and two touchdowns. Ford has also added some production in the receiving game, with 14 catches on 19 targets, 104 yards and two touchdowns. Ford has only surrendered one fumble on the season and he averages 4.4 yards per carry – the NFL league average through seven weeks is 4.1.

The Browns are banged up at both RB and quarterback but they currently sit at (4-2), with a spot as a wild card team in the AFC. If they can get healthy, especially QB Deshaun Watson, could they win the division?
