Can Tony Pollard Fill Zeke’s Role?

Dallas, Texas (PSF) - With Dallas releasing there franchise running back Ezekiel Elliot earlier this offseason, it became pretty obvious that they want Tony Pollard to be the new running back one. Since Ezekiel Elliot got drafted back in 2016, he has played 103 games, had 8,262 rushing yards, 68 touchdowns, and made the Pro Bowl three times. Now after he has declined the past two years, Dallas has decided to release him.

In 2022, Tony Pollard had 38 less touches that Ezekiel and had 124 more rushing yards than him. Pollard pretty much beat Elliott in everything last year other than touchdowns. Pollard had nine while Elliott had 12. Now that Pollard is getting more touches this season, he will be one of the better running backs in the league. Pollard is a very fast and explosive back who knows how to make a man miss in the open field. Also, with him getting more touches, this will lead to more touchdowns, rushing yards, and receiving yards.

The Cowboys rushing game will be a lot better this year than the past two years with Pollard starting. With this improved rushing game, this will make Dallas one of the best teams in the league.
