Another Rough Weekend for Colts in Jacksonville

The Indianapolis Colts are now 3-3 after a rough loss against divisional leader and rival Jacksonville Jaguars. Indianapolis Colts once again cannot get past their kryptonite which is playing the Jaguars in Jacksonville. The last time the Colts had one in Jacksonville was September 21, 2014. The Colts came into the game already behind with Anthony Richardson being placed on the injury reserve earlier this week after injuring his AC joint in last week's game against the Tennessee Titans. Backup quarterback, Gardner Minshew, was the starter for this week's game where he threw for 329 yards and three interceptions. Minshew had never thrown three interceptions in one game in his career until Sunday. Throughout the season, Minshew has come in for the Colts after Richardson has gone out on multiple occasions and looked like a potential starting quarterback, but that was not the case this weekend. The final score was 20-37 with half of the Colts points coming late in the game when it did not matter.

The Colts threw the ball a total of 55 times, and ran the ball a total of 17 times. With Zack Moss having a career year for the Colts and extending Johnathan Taylor's Contract, it seemed that the Colts had potential to be a power house in the running game, but with only 17 total rushing attempts for the entire game, it seems the game plan of Coach Shane Steichen was different than expected.

The Colts are now tied for second in the AFC South division with the Houston Texans. The next two games for the Indianapolis Colts are at home against the Cleveland Browns and the New Orleans Saints. These are both important games for the Colts if they want to stay in the race for the division in the coming weeks. As of now, Anthony Richardson is out for at least the next three weeks, but there is talk about him having season ending surgery on his shoulder which would be a major blow the the Colts playoff hopes after a great start to the season.
