Who is the most Underrated player in this Year's NBA Draft?
Tari Eason is the best basketball prospect you’ve never heard of. The 6’8 forward from LSU is something to behold on the basketball court. It’s not often you find a player so tailored for the modern league, but Eason is just that. A rare combo of size, strength, and shooting sounds like a dream to most NBA GM’s and Eason can give you just that. He is perfectly built for position-less game that is played today. Although he is currently projected to go somewhere in the late-lottery or mid-first round, Eason is a win now prospect. Averaging 17 points, 7 boards, and 2 steals a game, all while shooting in the high thirties from three is something that will translate to NBA success. Eason also plays with a knack for getting to the line averaging a whopping 5.6 free-throw attempts per 24 minutes a game. Watching his highlights you can tell he plays with something to prove, never once falling asleep on defense or wanting to play iso ball on offense he is a constant mover, he understands he’s no Banchero or Holmgren or star recruit, he just plays with a motor that wants you to talk about him like those guys. Yes, he has his flaws, like that motor that can sometimes lead to recklessness and fouls, but his upside as an inside out scorer and defender far outweighs those fixable flaws. Eason won’t be a top 10 pick in this year's draft and I wouldn’t make the case for him to be, however, he is a starlet for teams on the brink of contention, he can do everything a good NBA role player can do and most importantly he can do it now an asset that carries far more weight than people realize.
