WWE Summerslam 2023 Predictions

The spectacle of the summer for the WWE arrives on Saturday August 5th, Summerslam! This premium event has a stacked match card that is headlined by Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. You can be certain that the winners of this highly anticipated premium event will win big now and going forward.

Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler (MMA Rules)

This bout promises to display some hard hitting especially with the stipulation that the match has. In the last premium event, Money in the Bank, Baszler betrayed her former friend and attacked Rousey from behind ultimately causing them to lose their tag team championships in the process. Now the two will face off in a match where all the hatred they have for each other will be shown. My prediction is that Baszler wins this match to put a final blow to Rousey.

Logan Paul vs. Ricochet

In this match you can expect some high-flying to be presented by the two superstars. Ever since their heart-stopping moments in the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank it was only a matter of time before this match was made official. If you are purely looking at this match by athleticism and experience the edge goes to Ricochet undoubtedly. However, seeing as Paul signed his new WWE contract in April and has yet to get a win I expect him to get his first one here against a formidable opponent.

Intercontinental Champion Gunther vs. Drew McIntyre

The Intercontinental Champion Gunther will face-off against Drew McIntyre for the prized championship in what will most likely be the hardest hitting match of the night. It was a surprise to everyone when McIntyre’s music hit in Money in the Bank as he came out to confront Gunther. In that very moment it was clear what McIntyre wanted and it was in the hands of Gunther, the Intercontinental Championship. It is worthy to note that Gunther has been champion for over 400 days which is a remarkable accomplishment. Nonetheless, I predict “The Scottish Warrior” McIntyre will capture the championship and put a stop to the historic reign.

Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar

This feud seems like it has been going on for a while now even before the summer started as there have been two matches in this rivalry with each superstar winning once. All roads will lead to Summerslam as the third part in this rivalry will presumably be the last but who will come out on top? It is tough to go against “The Beast” Brock Lesnar but I believe I have to go with Cody Rhodes since he needs this win more.

WWE Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Bianca Belair vs. Charlotte Flair

This match might be one of the most anticipated womens matches in a while just because of the stars that are in this match. Each one of these women has been champion many times before so the experience in this triple threat is through the roof. In a triple threat match the odds are basically stacked against the champion which in this case is Asuka but if anyone can overcome them it's her. I’m predicting that the Champion Asuka retains but one has to be wary of Money in the Bank winner IYO SKY showing up to cash in at the most opportune time.

World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Finn Bálor

A match seven years in the making has a part two and this one is almost certainly gonna be the most vicious. This is a rematch from Money in the Bank where Rollins retained his World Heavyweight Championship. Since then Bálor and the Judgement Day have been terrorizing Rollins on Monday nights leading to this match at Summerslam. It is difficult to predict who will come out on top since the two competitors are so evenly matched. On one side Rollins is the champion and has had a history of being clutch in big matches. While on the other side Bálor is more determined than ever to win and realistically how many times can one man beat another. Although this match can go either way, I can see Rollins winning to retain his championship again. A noteworthy factor in this match will be Señor Money in the Bank, Damian Priest.

Who will be Tribal Chief?

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Jey USo (Tribal Combat)

The match that will main event the biggest show of the summer is one fans have been anticipating for months now as it will be Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This match is no ordinary match though as the two superstars will compete against each other in Tribal Combat. After months of turmoil within The Bloodline everything will come to a conclusion at the end of this match. We will either see Jey Uso get completely wiped off the face of the earth or we will see Roman Reigns get dethroned as Tribal Chief and champion. In my opinion they don’t call him “Main Event” Jey Uso for nothing as I believe he will be the one to stop Reigns historic run as champion and leave Summerslam as the new Tribal Chief.
