Ferrari Confirms New F1 Reserve and Development Drivers
Ferrari have officially announced Oliver Bearman as the new reserve driver and Arthur Leclerc as the new development driver for the upcoming racing season.
Bearman will share the reserve driver role with former Alfa Romeo F1 driver Antonio Giovinazzi and with 2019 FIA Formula 3 champion Robert Schwartzman.
Leclerc is to share his role with Antonio Fuoco and Davide Rigon who are both currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Development drivers work in the simulators and aid with car development or general updates.
Leclerc recently left the Ferrari Driver Academy and is to compete in the Italian GT championship in a Scuderia Baldini 27, marking his move from the single-seater category. Bearman performed well in his Formula 2 rookie season and will be staying with Prema Racing for the 2024 season.
