Royal Rumble Results
The 2024 Royal Rumble was a notably star-studded event. The women’s match saw the debut of Jade Cargill, the return of Naomi, and a special appearance from TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace, surprising many fans who watched. In the end of that battle, it was Bayley who punched her ticket to WrestleMania 40. On the men’s side, the match started off with brother vs. brother, as Jimmy Uso battled his twin and former tag partner Jey Uso. Other notable participants included CM Punk, Damien Priest, and the returning Andrade. The final two competitors were Punk and Cody Rhodes, the latter of whom entered the battle at No.15. The American Nightmare would go on to outsmart and throw out the former, locking in his spot at the Show of Shows and making clear he wants Roman Reigns, who retained his WWE title earlier that night.

Escape the Cage
This past Saturday on AEW Collision, FTR and Daniel Garcia squared off against The House of Black in a wild “Escape the Cage” matchup, where the first team to get out of the steel cage first would be the winner. When it came down to Garcia and Malakai Black, the latter was close to leaving the structure when Mark Briscoe literally slammed the door on his escape, resulting in Garcia picking up the win for himself and FTR. This week on Dynamite, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page compete in dealer’s choice matches, where the aforementioned men pick opponents for each other. Swerve has picked Toa Liona for Page, while Hangman says Swerve will have to wait “the whole F’N show” to find out about his match.

McMahon Resigns
WWE co-founder and executive chairman Vince McMahon has resigned from his latter role amid serious sexual assault and trafficking allegations brought up in a lawsuit filed by a woman named Janel Grant, a former WWE employee. According to the suit, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, McMahon promised “life-changing” opportunities to Grant, but allegedly instead subjected her to acts of “extreme cruelty and degradation,” which included being defecated on and assaulted by the former boss and another former executive John Laurinaitis. In another statement, McMahon said he plans to fully cooperate and accept the findings in the investigation.
