The famous cat from Imola Circuit, Formulino has passed away. Formulino was a regular at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and was even given VIP access to the paddock.

The passing of the cat has left fans emotional and tributes flying online and at the Imola Circuit itself. Formulino lived at the Imola and was seen as a good luck charm to the drivers, except Sebastion Vettel whom he had a feud.

His feud started with Vettel during the 2020 season when the circuit joined the calendar.

He was told by an interviewer that weekend it is good luck if the Imola cat, Formulino comes and visits him before the race.

Sebastion went on to say, "I don’t like cats…I have nothing to offer it. He’s a bit overweight though, maybe because there hasn’t been much racing lately."

Vettel then qualified P14 and finally finished the race P12, which started the feud with the feline.

Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, was seen petting the cat in the Mercedes garage. After the visit from Formulino, he was victorious after starting in P3.

Sadly, this season the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix was canceled due to unprecedented deadly storms and flooding in Northern Italy. Formulino, unfortunately, did not have the chance to see the drivers again before his untimely passing. The Grand Prix is set to be back on the calendar next May and his memory will forever live on at Imola.
