Christian Vazquez Collects 300th Career RBI

Over the weekend, Twins catcher Christian Vazquez reached another milestone in his MLB career. In Saturday’s game against the Kansas City Royals, Vazquez grounded out to Bobby Witt at shortstop, bringing Jorge Polanco home. This RBI was the 300th of Vazquez’s major league career.

Collecting that 300th RBI was just another accomplishment in what has been a very solid career in the big leagues for Christian Vazquez.

Vazquez is most known for his time spent with the Boston Red Sox, becoming a fan favorite to many of the Fenway faithful. He caught for 698 games in a Red Sox uniform and brought many memories to the city of Boston, including a walk-off home run in extra innings against the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2021 American League Divisional Series. Vazquez was also a part of the 2018 World Series championship winning team in Boston.

After being dealt right before the deadline to the Houston Astros, Christian Vazquez played a role in the Astros winning the 2022 World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies. Vazquez even caught the first combined no-hitter in World Series history.

Now with the Minnesota Twins, the two-time World Series champion looks to add to that RBI total of 300 and continue reaching more milestones in his MLB career.
