United Win For Sir Bobby Charlton
Manchester United lost yet another legend in the recent news of Sir Bobby Charlton, who passed on Saturday morning. Sir Bobby was an absolute legend of not just Manchester United and England football, but world football as a whole.
Sir Bobby amassed 200+ goals in over 600 appearances in his career, most famously winning England the World Cup in 1966. The attacking midfielder was the heart of so many teams that he played on, and his presence at the Manchester United games will be dearly missed. Sir Bobby famously survived the Munich Air Disaster, which propelled him to work as hard as ever and provide great moments for Manchester United and his former teammates.
Manchester United played Sheffield United on Saturday and after another slow start, they found a way to come back and win 2-1 via Scott McTominay and Diogo Dalot goals.
One can hope that with this absolute legend of the game leaving us, it will give Manchester United a boost to honor his legacy and get back on track quickly in this Premier League season. With more and more players coming back from injury for the Red Devils, the hope is that there will start to be consistency in results and overall structure that has been lacking in all competitions to start the season.
