The last weekend saw the so called βDerby DβItaliaβ, one of the most classic games in Italian Serie A, taking place at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, in Milan, with Inter clashing against Juventus.
The game drags behind itself years and years of exciting and controversial matches, played not only on the soccer field but also in courtrooms, making the days before and after the game full of tension, not to say buzzing.
This time, the game ended up in a tie. Inter took the lead with Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko, who was the quickest to tap in the ball after it hit the post following a great long shot by Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
In the second half, however, Juventus was able to come back thanks to a penalty realized by Argentinian striker Paulo Dybala. Of course, the way in which the penalty was assigned is the main topic in all todayβs soccer newspapers and websites, since the referee initially let the game on to be eventually called by the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) to review the action and change his mind.
The standings now see Inter in third place and Juventus in sixth place, quite far from their ultimate goal, the "Scudetto."
