Dan Barden Diagnosed with Testicular Cancer

Another Premier League player receiving a cancer diagnosis, this time, Dan Barden, the 20 year old Goalkeeper for Norwich, who is currently on loan at Scottish Premiership Livingston. Barden also plays for the Welsh National Team Under 21 squad, and started his youth career at Arsenal before moving to Norwich City. He was loaned to Livingston back in July, however, due to the treatment he will be receiving, Barden will be taking a break from the game for a bit.

"It has been a very difficult and challenging period, but the support of my family, friends and colleagues has helped get me through the last few weeks."

He has undergone several tests following the diagnosis, and will soon begin a treatment program. This diagnosis comes soon after fellow Premier League player David Brooks received his Hodgkin Lymphoma diagnosis. Both of them are young men, and great players.

Norwich has come out saying they fully support Barden in his treatment, and cannot wait to welcome him back to the training ground.

β€œEveryone at Norwich City wishes Dan a speedy recovery. Our love and thoughts are with him and his family as he starts this latest challenge in his life.

Dan is part of our family and we look out for our own. He knows we are with him every step of the way.”
