Arsenal bid for Moisés Caicedo
League leaders Arsenal are trying to bolster their midfield with Moisés Caicedo. The injury of Mohamed Elneny has forced the Gooners to explore their options in the January transfer window. The transfer window closes on the 31st and Arsenal are running out of time to get a deal done and are being forced to focus on certain targets. Their main target right now is Moisés Caicedo.
The Ecuadorian has sat out of training and was not in the squad against Liverpool in the FA cup. Caicedo who is just 21 has put out a plea to leave the club on Instagram. He said,
“I am grateful to Mr. Bloom and Brighton for giving me the chance to come to the Premier League and I feel I have always done my best for them. I always play football with a smile and with heart.
I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor upbringing in Santa Domingo in Ecuador. My dream always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador.

I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful.
The fans have taken me into their hearts and they will always be in my heart so I hope they can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity.”
So far Arsenal has submitted two bids and one on Friday worth 60 million euros that got rejected. They recently upped the bid to 65 million and 5 million worth of add ons. Both bids got rejected immediately. Arsenal have been set on not overpaying for players; Mudryk is a keen example of this. It would not be ridiculous to presume that Arsenal will not be able to come to an agreement of price for Caicedo and will be forced to quickly find a new target to chase after.
