Vegas Golden Knights vs. Vancouver Canucks

On Nov. 30 the Vegas Golden Knights, currently ranked first in the Pacific Division, headed to Rogers Place in Vancouver to go up against the Vancouver Canucks who currently rank second in the Pacific Division.

This game would not only serve as a way to see how the top two teams in the divisional ranking differ but it would also give the chance for the Canucks to show others just how driven they are this season and be able to show just how competitive they are.

After winning the Stanley Cup last season, people were not questioning just how driven the Golden Knights would be, opposed to the Canucks who many were doubting just how their season would go after ranking in the bottom three of the divisional rankings.

Many have been surprised with just how well the Canucks have been playing, before the game they had a record of 15-7-1, while the Golden Knights were going into the game with a record of 14-5-4.

Soon after the puck dropped, the Golden Knights were quick to try to get a lead, but the first goal would to open up the scoreboard wouldn’t be scored until around five minutes into the first period. The Knights own Ivan Barbashev would be the one to give them a 1-0 lead.

16 minutes into the first period, Jack Eichel from the Vegas Golden Knights would score a goal doubling their lead to 2-0, which would stay the same going into the second period, with the Canucks not scoring a goal by the end of the first period.

The second period went rather smoothly for the Vegas Golden Knights as they ended it with a 3-0 lead. William Karlsson scored 11 minutes into the second period, adding to their lead.

Less than 30 seconds into the third period, Brett Howden would score a goal making the score 4-0 in favor of the Golden Knights.

The Canucks would finally score their only goal of the night, courtesy of Andrei Kuzmenko four minutes into the third period.

With the lone goal for the Canucks, the score would end 4-1 in favor of the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Vegas Golden Knights ended the night with a record of 15-5-4 while the Vancouver Canucks ended with a record of 15-8-1.
