Pre Playoff Picture

We are a quarter of the way through the season, and the main question everyone seems to be asking because of the Flyers newfound success is, are they good enough to make a playoff run this season? That is a very loaded question with a very difficult answer. To me, nothing is set in stone right now. I would need to see a bit more hockey to make a definitive answer. One positive thing they have going for them is that theyโ€™re above .500 for the first time in a long time. Itโ€™s been about three seasons since. Theyโ€™re also a very hard team to beat. Whether the other team wins or loses, the one thing that is the same is that the Flyers fight hard.

For them to even get to the playoffs, I would also need to see more consistency. Consistency has always been an issue throughout the Flyers history. Whether it was with goaltending, defense, or offense, the consistency has been sorely lacking. As of late, they canโ€™t seem to score more than one or two goals a game. Even with superstars Cam Atkinson and Sean Couturier back in the lineup, there are consistent scoring issues. Even with all of this being said, they seem to be going in the right direction. So, my advice to the Flyers would be to keep up the hard work, and it will pay off.
