Sarah Nurse Offered Job By Panthers

Florida Panthers President and CEO Matt Caldwell pulled out a surprise job over for one of Canada’s best over the 2023 All-Star Weekend.

While speaking at the 2023 NHL All-Star Weekend Legacy Project announcement, Caldwell offered Canadian Women’s National Team member Sarah Nurse the opportunity to be the same of the Panthers new “Girls Program” that will be launching as part of the legacy project.

Nurse, who is a two-time Olympian, won a gold medal with Canada in 2022, competed in the Discover NHL Tendy Tandem on Friday. Nurse scored an impressive goal on Igor Shesterkin, where she pulled out the one handed move made famous by Peter Forsberg.

When asked about the offer, Nurse said "I was like, yes, but my agent probably wouldn't be happy about me saying yes." "Honestly, this is such an awesome organization. They've been able to host an incredible All-Star event. I want to help as much as I can to help the growth of the sport everywhere in the world and South Florida."

While nothing has been made official yet, expect to see an official announcement in the coming days.
