NHL All-Star Game Additions Are Coming in 2024
This season’s NHL All-Star Game is going to be a bit different compared to those of the recent past. The league announced three major additions to the competition that will hopefully bring in higher viewership to a more exciting broadcast.
The Return of the Player Draft
For the first time since 2015, the NHL All-Star Game rosters will be determined by a draft. Four captains will select their respective teams, each with the help of an honorary celebrity captain as well. Although there were many memorable moments from the division-based all-star rosters such as John Scott captaining the Pacific to victory in 2016, the return of the draft will provide a lot more entertainment for fans and players themselves. The player draft has had some iconic moments over the years.
