Canucks vs. Sharks 1-1 in Their Game Series so Far This Season

The first game of the Vancouver Canucks going up against the San Jose Sharks happened on Nov. 20 in Rogers Arena. The game was a spectacle as Prince Harry was given the honor of doing the puck drop.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were in Canada due to them wanting to see where the Invictus Games will be hosted, which will take place in the year 2025 in Vancouver and Whistler.

At the time of the first game, the Vancouver Canucks had a record of 12-5-1 and the San Jose Sharks had a record of 3-13-1. Based on the records it did seem like the Canucks were most likely to win this first game, which they in fact did win 3-1.

Canucks center J.T. Miller scored the goal that would ensure the Canucks win, which made Rogers Arena go crazy. This was not only an exciting celebratory win for the Canucks team and fans but also exciting for the surprise guests of the game.

After securing the win, the Canucks ended with a record of 13-5-1 and the Sharks ended with a record of 3-14-1. With how the game ended, one would expect the Sharks to show up to their next game against the Canucks with a sense of urgency.

The second game of the series between the Sharks and Canucks took place on Nov. 25 in the SAP Center in San Jose. This time around, the Sharks seemed to be a bit more hungry, right away they kept making rushes to the net and were able to open up the scoreboard with 10 minutes remaining in the first period. The first goal was scored by defenseman Ty Emberson, this was also in fact Emberson’s first goal in the NHL.

The Canucks were quick to respond as with around five minutes remaining in the first period, Canucks defenseman Filip Hronek scored a goal making the score 1-1.

The second period ended with a score of 2-2 as there was a lot of back and forth between both teams.

Within the first five minutes of the third period, the Sharks scored two goals giving them a lead of 4-2. The Canucks did in fact score another goal with close to four minutes remaining in the third period, making the score 4-3 in favor of the Sharks.

By the end of the game, the San Jose Sharks had a record of 4-15-2 and the Vancouver Canucks had a record of 14-7-1.

The final game in the series of the Canucks vs. Sharks will take place on Dec. 23 with the Canucks having the at-home ice advantage.
