Huge Night for the Hughes Brothers

Luke Hughes made his NHL debut and brother Jack Hughes broke franchise record for most points in a season

On Saturday while playing the Boston Bruins, Jack Hughes scored 96 points to tie Elias Peterson for the most points in a single season by a Devils player.

Peterson originally set the record on April 6, 2001.

Tuesday night while playing the Buffalo Sabres, Jack Hughes earned his 97th point with an empty netter.

Jack Hughes’ brother Luke Hughes also made his NHL debut with the Devils on Tuesday nigh.

Luke Hughes made a strong first impression. Luke Hughes skated alongside brother Jack Hughes in the starting lineup. The 19-year-old defenseman had two blocked shots, one hit, and one takeaway.

The Devils will play the Washington Capitals on Thursday for the regular season finale before entering the playoffs.

The Devils are slated to play the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Devils will have the home ice advantage.
