According to the Golden Knights, Stone suffered the injury on January 12th in a win against the Florida Panthers, and began rehab shortly after. However, Stone suffered a setback in that recovery, and it was determined that surgery was the best way forward for the 30-year old forward. While this was Stone’s first injury this season, he hasn’t been so lucky in past seasons. Stone was limited to just 37 games last year, mostly due to a back injury that ultimately led to surgery

Stone, who is expected to make a full recovery, has put up 17 goals and 21 assists through 43 games this season for a Golden Knights team that’s locked in a tough battle in the Pacific Division. The Golden Knights will look to Jack Eichel to get back to his old ways to replace the production lost.
