Blues Offersheet Two Oilers
The St. Louis Blues have sent offer sheets to two Edmonton Oilers playersโ Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway.
While Broberg and Holloway have accepted these offers, the Oilers have one week to decide if they want to match the offer sheets or let them walk. If the Oilers match these offer sheets, they would agree to the contract as the Blues, and re-sign the RFAโs, and the Blues would not sign the player. The Oilers are also not allowed to trade the player for one year from the day they accept.
If the Oilers do not choose to match the offer sheets, they player will then become a St. Louis Blue. The Blues would then send a pick for the player, a 2025 2nd round pick for Broberg and a 2025 3rd round pick for Holloway.
Hollowayโs offer was 2 years, $2.29M per year. The 22 year-old left winger played 38 regular season games with the Oilers, scoring 9 points. He also played 25 playoff games, with 7 points and recording a +4. He has played 89 games in the NHL.
Broberg recieved an offer for 2 years, $4.58M per year. Philip Broberg is a 23 year-old defenseman, who played 12 regular season games with Edmonton, and recorded 2 points. He also played 10 playoff games, scoring 3 points and recorded a +/- of +8. He has played 81 games in the NHL. Brobergโs camp was reportedly unhappy with the Oilers and looked for a move out of Edmonton, in December 2023.
