The Bills Dominate in Buffalo

Pure domination. That's how anyone who watched Saturday night's wild card game would describe the Buffalo Bills performance. Out the gate, Josh Allen looked poised and under control, but so did the Patriots… for the first few plays. They looked promising and Mac Jones looked ready to sling the ball down field. But when he did, Micah Hyde was there to make an incredible defensive stop and pick the ball off.

From there on out, the Bills were in control of this game. That was the momentum shift. By half time the score was 27-3, and the Patriots defense looked lost, as they let up 4 touchdowns on 4 possessions. The Pat’s offense couldn't figure anything out either, as their only three points came from a field goal at just the last second before half.

The Patriots had their largest halftime deficit in their playoff history. Coming out of halftime however, nothing changed. Jones threw an unlucky interception which led to yet another Josh Allen touchdown. The Patriots didn't find themselves in the red zone until there was 6:41 left in the 3rd quarter. But by the time they scored their first touchdown, the score was still 33-10.

The Bills never let up on the gas though, as they scored 7 touchdowns in 7 possessions. The only possession the Bill’s didn't score, was when they were kneeling out the clock. Josh Allen finished with 307 yards, 5 touchdowns and was 21 for 25 in passing. Devin Singletary had 83 yards on 16 attempts with 2 touchdowns, as he too had himself a game.

With the final score of 47 to 17, the Bills move on to the Divisional round. For Bill Belichick, this was the most points he had ever given up in a playoff game in his career. Tonight the Bills proved that they are legit contenders, and that the rest of the NFL should be very, very scared.
