Heading into their Week 5 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, quarterback CJ Stroud has looked like a superstar in the making and by far the best quarterback in the 2023 NFL draft so far. So far on the season Stroud has 94 pass completions on 151 pass attempts to accumulate 1,112 yards to add 6 passing touchdowns and his one of a few players left in the whole league to not throw an interception.

Keep feeding Nico Collins

If there is any wide receiver on the Houston Texans that has been quarterback CJ Stroud favorite target it has be Nico Collins who has been on absolute tear in the first four weeks of the season as he has put 22 receptions to go along with 428 yards and three touchdowns on the year. However in their Week 5 matchup with the Falcons it might be tough to get going in the air as the Atlanta defense is ranked 6th in passing yards given up at just 176.2 yards per game and are lead in the secondary by cornerback AJ Terrell. The Texans offense will be looking to stay hot and the game plan of finding Collins who has shown he can be a viable piece to the offense will only make CJ Stroud life a lot easier in the passing game.

History on the line

The Houston Texans and quarterback CJ Stroud has history on the line heading into their game with the Atlanta Falcons. As CJ Stroud has yet to throw an interception in his first four games and is only 25 pass completions away from Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott record that has stood since the 2016 season. With a rookie record on the line and the Houston Offense being on a tear over the last two weeks with putting up 34 on the Jaguars and 30 on the Steelers defense, the Texans and Stroud will look to continue the damage and roll out of Atlanta with CJ Stroud breaking the record and another win.

Perdiction

With the quarterbacks matchups of CJ Stroud for the Texans and Desmond Ridder for the the Falcons will be a matchup of two young guys looking to prove that they can win in the league. The Texans are hot and will look to stay hot and get a victory 27-16 when they travel to Atlanta.
