Saturday Gets First Win as colts Head coach

The Indianapolis Colts have been nothing short of disappointing so far this season. After their sluggish start to the year, they parted ways with head coach Frank Reich.

Shortly after the news broke of Frank Reich being fired, Colts owner Jim Irsay introduced Jeff Saturday as their interim Head Coach for the rest of the season. This hiring came under heavy scrutiny from NFL analysts, former players, and former coaches. After the Colts hired Saturday, many believed it was because they wanted to tank, and receive a higher draft pick in next years draft.

Saturday responded to this criticism by taking his slumping Colts, and leading them to a road win over the 2-7 Raiders. He took command of the team and got them back to running the offense through Jonathan Taylor. He made the executive decision to start Matt Ryan, who was benched earlier this year for Sam Ehlinger.

While this is all nice and all, the reality is the Colts are still two games behind from the Titans and have the 8-1 Eagles coming to town Sunday. If Saturday can lead the Colts to a win and hand the Eagles their second loss of the season, the Colts will be right back in the playoff mix and Saturday will be silencing the critics.
