It has finally happened! Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback Lamar has finally resigned with the team on Thursday. During the whole NFL season, there were many questions leading into the offseason about what the plans were going forward with Lamar Jackson. Was he going to resign with the Baltimore Ravens or were the Ravens going to have him walk?

During the offseason and free agency, the Ravens placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on the former NFL MVP back in March. It was a couple of weeks later where Jackson announced that he requested a trade and that he wanted out of Baltimore. That franchise tag was going to cost the Ravens around $32 million for the one year.

It was announced on Thursday that Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens were in heavy talks with a deal and later on in that day it was announced that both parties agreed on a deal. Lamar resigned with Baltimore on a five-year, $260 million deal. The deal made Lamar Jackson officially the highest paid player in the entire NFL surpassing Jalen Hurts who also resigned this offseason.
