Potential fits for the Buffalo Bills at pick #25

As free agency winds down, NFL front offices are focusing their full attention on the upcoming NFL draft. While the Buffalo Bills are in a good position heading into the draft, as they are coming off a season where they won the AFC East title for the second year in a row, as well as a free agency period where they re-signed key pieces and added other free agents to improve their roster, there are still some glaring needs that they could address in the draft, particularly at cornerback, wide receiver and running back. Here are some players that could be on the board at pick 25 in the first round that could be day-one starters for the Bills, and would fill holes on the roster so they could focus on building depth in the later rounds of the draft.

Roger McCreary, Cornerback, Auburn

Roger McCreary is a physical, athletic corner who can lock down receivers and contribute well in the run game, coming off of a season where he made 49 tackles (2 TFL), 14 pass deflections and caught 2 interceptions. He has the versatility to play both man and zone, and has great ball skills as well. His below-average length and lack of elite speed keeps his draft stock below the top corners in this draft class (Gardner, Stingley Jr. and McDuffie), but he fits the profile of what the Bills look for in their CBs well, and would be a day-one starter.

Jameson Williams, Wide Receiver, Alabama

With Emmanuel Sanders most likely not returning to the Bills in the 2022 season, there is a need for another outside receiver who can be a compliment to Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. Enter Jameson Williams, the Alabama WR who caught 79 receptions for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns in the 2021 season. His elite route-running skills, speed, and YAC ability would be a great help to this Bills offense that was ranked 32nd in passing yards coming after the catch.

Breece Hall, Runningback, Iowa State

The top prospect at the running back position in this draft class is easily Breece Hall. In his junior year at Iowa State, he ran for 1,472 yards on 253 carries for 5.8 YPC and 20 touchdowns, as well as 302 yards on 36 receptions and 3 touchdowns. Hall would come in as a complimentary back to Singletary, and become their RB1 in his sophomore season. Hall would be easily the most complete running back the Bills have had on their roster since Lesean McCoy, as he not only can be a high-impact player on a large volume of carries, but also has upside in the passing game.
