Philadelphia Eagles Get Stars Back After Early Bye
The Philadelphia Eagles started the season with a 34-29 win in Sao Paulo, Brazil over the Green Bay Packers. Despite the win, this game was just the start of a different kind of loss for the birds as A.J. Brown would not play in any of the following three games going into the bye week.
The next week, without Brown, the Eagles had a catastrophic breakdown in the last two minutes of their game against the Atlanta Falcons and lost by one point. In Week 3, the Eagles pulled off a 15-12 win over the New Orleans Saints but again were bit by the injury bug as Darius Slay, Lane Johnson, Britain Covey and Devonta Smith all suffered injuries within this game. In Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Eagles were put in a tough spot with everyone previously mentioned, except Slay, missing the game and ended up being blown out.
The Eagles wound up with the earliest possible bye week this season, getting their bye in Week 5. While this usually is something fanbases and players do not enjoy, this may be the one time Eagles faithful were appreciative of the early bye.

Reports came in from the team themselves that Smith, Brown and Johnson were all expected to play, as early as Tuesday. Following official injury reports, the Eagles officially have listed those players as full participants in practice and also as active players in the Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns are a team that has struggled this season, currently standing at 1-4 going into their matchup with the Eagles in Philadelphia. For the Browns, they could not be more upset that a team in their path is getting healthy right as they play them. Conversely, for the Eagles, this game should serve as a good tune-up and also a test to see what level of play they are at exactly.
Browns-Eagles kicks off at 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time on FOX.
