Former NFL Tight End Rob Gronkowski Says Brian Daboll Has “The Best Chance” of Bringing Him Out of Retirement

FOX Sports

Former Patriots and Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski says there have been speculation of him coming back to the NFL and unretire.

Gronkowski says there is a slim chance of him coming back but if there was one head coach that has the best chance of convincing him to come back and join the team is New York Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll.

Gronkowski has seen what Daboll has done to turn the team around and likes what he sees in Giants tight end Darren Waller. He says he would love to play along side Waller and it can possibly make the team more successful with two tight ends on the field.

Daboll was the tight end coach for New England from 2013-2016 where he coached Gronkowski.

Gronkowski has had history with Daboll and likes his coaching style.

He also isn’t in a rush to come back to the NFL but if Brian Daboll can convince him to come back and join the Giants then Gronkowski will have something interesting to think about.
