Mahomes has stated that he would’ve been a very different quarterback if it wasn’t for Andy Reid's training and coaching. He even stated that Reid helped him to become a better man, a better dad, and always be the best of who he was every single day since he joined the Chiefs. The hard work and dedication really helped molded the player into a MVP of a season, that elevated Mahomes into one of the most hard-working players in the NFL.

The quarterback has stated that he is not looking for to make a legacy of his career, at the moment he wants to improve his work on a daily basis. He states that he uses the training style that Reid gave to him, making Mahones into a really dedicated player and a hard-working one.

In a sense that statement makes sense, Mahone’s style of playing works because of Andy Reid guidance as a coach. If that is the case, then this would be similar to Brady and Belichick on the New England Patriots. Such a collaboration and friendship between the player and the coach is very rare to see nowadays in the league.
