Lions Sell Out Season Tickets for First Time in Ford Field History

Detroit, Michigan (PSF) - For the first time since moving from the Silverdome, the Detroit Lions have sold out of their season tickets.

The hype around this team is the highest I have ever seen in my 16 years of being a Lions fan. The question on everyone’s mind is if the hype is justified.

The Lions are in the lead on sports betting sites as the team that will win the NFC North this year even over the Vikings who are coming off a 13-3 season last year.

The winning spree the team went on at the end of last year rejuvenated the fan’s interest and like of the current team under Dan Campbell.

Campbell was being heavily criticized by fans in the early parts of the season as the team started off with an abysmal 1-6 record after the fans were hyped up during the offseason and draft.

The last time the Detroit Lions won the division it was not even called the NFC North it was called the NFC Central.

The hype around the team has also shown in the scheduling of the games and their times.

Last year, the Lions were the only team to not have a primetime game scheduled at the start of the season and only got one primetime game at the end of the year against the Packers.

That was not a new trend either with two of the last three years with the Lions having no primetime games and having almost exclusively playing in the early window of games starting at one o’clock.

As a Lions fan, I am definitely buying into the hype the more I see of the team in training camp. However, as a longtime Lions fan I definitely know how fast this team can shatter all the hopes of Lions fans in just a few weeks.
