Justin Herbert Says New Contract Allows Him ‘to Play Fearless’
Los Angeles, California (PSF) - A big payday has just happened, to quarterback Justin Herbert from the Los Angeles Chargers. His contract was fully established to be over $262.5 million which provides Hebert enough security for his future. This contract is set to be one of the biggest transactions in current years, with the player being set to play for four years, since he is still on his rookie contract.
Herbert has stated that he can now play freely, pretty much doing whatever he wanted and work as hard as he can. Making sure that he and his team were in great shape and be play fearless, no fear and pretty much going as fast as he can to achieve the goal. The player has also stated that his teammates are a big part for his reason to be playing like this.
Some argued that Herbert could have waited a little bit so he could sign a new deal. In a sense like he could play for the final two years of his contract and let other quarterbacks reset and rest on the marker before he eventually signed his big contract. However, the player decided to go with the Lamar Jackson tactic, which is the tactic to come with significant injury risk, one wrong hit and everything you worked so hard could have been wiped away.
At the moment, Herbert has a total of $218.7 million in total guarantees, so can focus on finally getting the Charges to new heights. He stated that he has been focusing on getting the best year of his career, making sure he can have great achievements and be able to play as much as he wants as long as he doesn’t get an injury.
Now with the Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore entering in the picture of the team things might ended up going to a different direction. The Charges could be even more impressive in 2023, especially with Justin Herbert being now ‘’a fearless play’’ and be able to do whatever he wants.
