Bears WR Chase Claypool on 2023: ‘It’s the Biggest Year of My Life'

Chicago, Illinois (PSF) - Chase Claypool, the wide receiver for the Bears is going to the next season with a clear goal in mind and is fully expecting great things. After following a trade from Pittsburgh last season, the second former second round pick enters the final year of his rookie contract needing a big season and setting to get a better payday this year.

Claypool has stated that this could possibly be the biggest year of his career. The player has been working hard every single day, both in the field and outside, which is impressive. The wide receiver is really a very promising player and has shown a lot of potential to get faster and stronger, making sure that he gets his payday worth.

Claypool started his career with a back to back 860 plus yard season in Pittsburgh, looking like the Steelers’ next big play weapon. However, things get off wobbly with the Steelers shipping him to Chicago ahead of the trade deadline for a second-round pick to become the number 32 pick during the NFL Draft. He ended up catching just 14 passes for 140 yards in seven games in Chicago with zero scores.

Despite having an injury that will keep him off the field for offseason work, he has been working on months’ worth of mental reps in the offense will help him improve on last years struggles. He has shown progress during his recovery, making some prep training so he could go back next season and start playing at a great level for the Bears.

Claypool has become the wild card for the team. He could be a great star player for the upcoming games and make a name for himself. If he improves himself, negates the negative plays and becomes a field stretching threat and red zone playmaker, it will boost the offense. If he sees this to be his biggest year of his life he will have to work as harder as he can.
