The Madden videogame series is one of the most popular videogame franchises of all time. It has been around ever since 1989, and it had been having a new game every year showing the updates on the NFL franchise and how to play around all around. One thing that people look forward to is to see who will be put in display on the cover of the game, for the 2024 edition the player chosen is Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Allen has been making a name for himself for a while, but ever since he joined the Bills he has been become one of the most popular players in the current seasons of the league. This is an historic event, because Allen would become the first Buffalo Bill player to appear on the cover of this big franchise. The two pictures selected were one with his team with him on the focus and another one where we see a close-up on his face.

The pick for Allen was a smart one, the quarterback had earned a lot of achievements in just a career of five seasons. Those included two Pro Bowls nods and most importantly he has propelled the Bills to achieve a level of prominence unseen since the days of Jim Kelly. This is a smart choice on EA's part, due to a great part of sales being in New York and that would increase their sales around the area where they are distributed.
I think Allen embodies one of the key points of the Madden franchise, which is to take a new idea and version about football simulation. They are always intending to make the most authentic NFL experience for gamers, controversies aside they have become one of the most popular video game franchises in history. Allen is a great choice for the cover, he is young and has still a great career in the future, he is a fresh face that is a really promising one for the NFL franchise.
The game is set to be released on August 18, for most gaming consoles and the PC. Despite the controversy that EA has every year when making a new one, we will see what will happen with this installment of the franchise.
