The Tennessee Titans travel to Buffalo this week for a Monday Night Football showdown with the Bills.

The Titans are coming off a week one loss to the New York Giants where they held a 13-0 lead at halftime but poor defense in the second half led to a Giants 21-20 comeback win.

The Bills on the other hand won their season opener against the reigning Super Bowl champion Rams with a convincing 31-10 scoreline.

The Titans and Bills met last year on Monday Night Football in Nashville where the Titans won 34-31. The last time the Titans played in Buffalo was in 2019 with Marcus Mariota as the starting quarterback.

The Bills are currently favored to win with a spread odd of  less than 9.5 per FanDuel.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m ET on Monday, Sept 19. Watch live on ESPN.

MATCHUPS TO LOOK OUT FOR

  1. Titans offensive line vs Bills defensive line

The Titans' offensive line looked good for the most part against a Giants defensive line that was missing two big contributors in Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari. They managed to only allow one sack the entire game.

The Bills however showcased their ease getting into the backfield against the Rams as they totaled seven sacks and 15 pressures without ever using one blitz. New acquisition Von Miller led the team with two sacks.

2. Titans run defense vs Bills run game

The Titans could not contain Giants running back Saquon Barkley as they allowed him to go for 164 rushing yards and a touchdown. Overall they gave up 238 rushing yards which were league worst in week one.

Aside from the Bills having a really good passing offense, do not discredit what they could do in the run game. Against the Rams which arguably has the best defensive lineman in Aaron Donald, they were able to run the ball effectively.

Devin Singletary racked up 48 yards on eight carries for a good six yards per carry. Josh Allen had 10 carries for 56 yards including a Derrick Henry type of stiff arm highlight.
