Is Aaron Rodgers doomed?

A disappointed Rodgers can be seen after a tough loss against the Vikings. Rookie receivers making many mistakes, will Aaron bounce back next week?

It was a tough go for back to back reigning MVP of the NFL Aaron Rodgers. The packers faced the vikings in the first game of the season. Rodgers coming off a reigning mvp season came up short in playoffs first round last season. In the off season Rodgers lost one of his key receivers Davante Adams to the Raiders. Davante and Rodgers shared a chemistry like nobody else in the NFL. Rodgers had to face adversity coming into the 2022/23 season facing new challenges with many new rookie receivers.

Rodgers made a good start to the home opener by throwing a deep ball to rookie Christian Watson. Watson dropped the wide open deep ball from Rodgers for a touchdown. Instantly fans and even himself could not believe the dropped pass. After the first drive the packers went downhill fast. Rodgers could not get anything going throughout the game, being pressured and sacked numerous of times. The rookie receivers dropped passes, and even ran so many wrong routes. You could see the frustration on the hall of famers face with the outcome of each and every play. Is Aaron Rodgers doomed?

That is the real question here after a poor performance in Green Bay this past Sunday. With what happened on the field from all the receivers is it possible that Rodgers can work with these new guys and have another mvp season? That is a certain who knows. Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league but he has lost his best weapon, so who will step up to replace Adams? We have to take a step back and analyze these players closely. Keep in mind these guys are fresh out of college and it was their first game, we can only imagine the first pro debut was nerve racking. Many wonder if Rodgers can get it going moving forward facing there rivals the bears in an upcoming game. With Rodgers being a four time mvp winner we certainly can’t count him and the packers out just yet. As time goes on these players should in fact be able to turn things around and help both on offense and defense for the great quarterback.

Rodgers in a recent interview had to say this on the new rookie wide receivers β€œthese are good kids. They really are. They want to please, they want to do the right thing, they care about it. I’m going to figure out a way to continue to get on the same frequency with them”. Rodgers truly wants to see these rookies do well, but will they connect from here on out? We must see.
