Desmond Ridder Named Starting QB for Atlanta Falcons
The quarterback situation has been very challenging for the Atlanta Falcons this season. They began the season with Desmond Ridder and after Ridder began to struggle with taking care of the ball, he was benched for Taylor Heinicke. Even with Heinicke at the helm, the Falcons have struggled and have lost their last three games. The quarterback position is an obvious concern for the Falcons and will likely need to be addressed in the 2024 draft.
For now, Ridder has once again been named the starter. It will be interesting to see if he was able to learn anything over the last few weeks and if he can help the Falcons get back in the win column.
There is a three-way race for the NFC South title right now and no team has shown clear dominance in the division so far. The Falcons still have an opportunity to gain control of the division if they can find a way to beat the Saints after their bye this week. Desmond Ridder will have to be better and will have to limit the turnovers if the Falcons are going to have any chance.
