New York, NY (PSF) —With the announcement of the Philadelphia Eagles Johnathan Gannon becoming the Arizona Cardinals next Head Coach, it looks like the Giants would be able to retain both of their coordinators after their success this season. Wink Martindale who was in the running for the Indianapolis Colts coaching job, was eliminated a couple days ago. Ironically, it was the Eagles who lost both coordinators as OC Shane Steichen would take the Colts job away from Martindale and now Gannon the former Eagles DC would take the Cardinals job from Kafka.

Both Kafka and Martindale had other interviews with several other teams and had high hopes of coaching their own football team. Both were pursing to become head coaches, but will have an opportunity to add on to their resumes for next time by continuing the success they had. While it might not be a good feeling for both coordinators, Giants fans are happy with Daboll retaining his staff. Now the front office can put all their focus to their roster in the off-season as the objective is to build off the success of Daboll first season. With eleven picks in the upcoming draft and contract questions regarding Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones, the concerns for the Giants are not over.

In Daboll first year, the Giants finished with a 9-7-1 record and the teams’ first playoff win since 2012. A lot was done in one year, and now fans are eager how will this staff build on it in 2023.
