Bailey Zappe shows up; Beat the Browns Week 6
With Mac Jones out for the week 6 showing in Cleveland, Zappe was left to lead to the team against the 2-3 Browns
Passing for 309 yards and throwing 2 TDs on a 71% completion rate the offense was clicking on all cylinders. Wrapping up with a 38 pt win following a 28 pt half led by Zappe, he was the first QB in the super bowl era to have a 100+ QB rating in his first 3 starts. After a Blowout win against Detroit in his 2nd start, although a loss still posted a 107 QB rating. So far so good with Zappe at the helm
Four receivers, Parker, Henry, Smith, and Meyers posted 60 yards each. Without top-end talent getting everyone involved is a must, and the pats seemed to have clicked on offense all day. The pats kept the ground game going as well, Rhadmore Stevens provided 2 touchdowns and 76 yards, even moving the chains with a 31-yard rushing play.
The defense held its own, holding the Browns 3-15 on 3rd down for the day. Letting up only 1 Touchdown coming in the fourth quarter. Although Amari Cooper hasn’t exactly been as advertised the defense held him to only 44 yards and Chub to 56 yards respectively.
