3 Likely Candidates for the Patriots Offensive Coordinator

Eric Hartline/USA TODAY Sports

After a boat load of offensive struggles during the 2022 season, the Patriots are finally looking for a real offensive coordinator. Long time Patriots OC Josh McDaniels left to become the head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders after the 2021 season. Here are three potential candidates for the vacant offensive coordinator positon

Bill O’Brien is the favorite in my eyes to become the OC, because he knows the system very well and he held the positon in 2011. This hire would absolutely make sense.

Keenan McCardell

McCardell coached under Bill Belichick when Bill was the head coach for the Cleveland Browns. Belichick has praised McCardell over the years and this hire would seem to be a great fit for the Patriots. McCardell could also be someone who can help fix the young wideout core for New England.

Nick Caley

Nick Caley is probably going to be the most unlikely candidate on this list. He has been with the team since 2015 and knows the system very well. Coaches who have been under Bill Belichick have been successful as play callers so seeing Caley is a possibility.
