Who Is Dawn Staley?

Dawn Staley, South Carolina female head basketball coach, who is the highest paid women’s college coach. Dawn Staley is an American basketball Hall of Fame player and coach. Staley has won three Olympic gold medals with Team USA as a player and also as a head coach. With South Carolina beating UConn in a national championship this just added more money for Dawn Staley. In October before the 2021-2022 season, Dawn Staley had signed a seven year contract for $22.4 million. 

  Dawn Staley played for University of Virginia through the years of 1988-1992 then got drafted by the Charlotte Sting’s in 1999. Dawn Staley went into the South Carolina women's basketball program that had never been to the Final Four. Then fourteen seasons later, Dawn Staley has built the Gamecocks into being a two time national champion.
