Tucker Dordevic Enters Transfer Portal
Tucker Dordevic, one of the most electric players in college lacrosse, placed his name in the transfer portal today. Hailing from Portland, Oregon, the Orange’s leading season scorer turned heads and dropped jaws this morning in central New York.
“I have been wrestling with this decision for quite some time, and I did not want my departure to cloud or detract from our efforts as a team,” Dordevic wrote in his good-bye message on Instagram.
He led the Orange with 47 goals and 59 points.
Many are already speculating where he will go, with Denver, UNC, and Duke in the mix. Some are hoping Jacksonville, to see the ‘Fins program elevate to higher levels. Some are even speculating that he might join either Oregon or Oregon State on the MCLA level.
Despite his departure, the Orange are gaining #1 incoming overall recruit Joey Spallina, and starting attackman Owen Hiltz returns back from injury.
Syracuse went 4-10 on the year, and they did not qualify for the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament, despite the additions of Gary Gait and Dave Pietremala to their staff. Dordevic says this season’s record had nothing to do with him entering the portal; he states that is needed on an academic basis.
