Big 12 Week 7 Picks

Bye: Kansas State & Texas Tech

Baylor @ West Virginia (BAY -3.5) Thursday night

Baylor is trying to stay in the race for the Big 12 Championship game, and West Virginia will be going for their first conference win of the season. C.J. Donaldson is the best rusher for WVU with 389 yards and six touchdowns on 56 carries, even though he is listed as a Tight End and a true Freshman. Donaldson will miss this game, putting more pressure on Daniels to move the ball. Baylor has too good of a defense, and the offense will do enough to win.

Pick: Baylor -3.5

Kansas @ Oklahoma (OU -9.0)

The line has been moving in favor of Oklahoma, and the news that Jaylon Daniels will miss the remainder of the season makes OU a more significant favorite. The quarterback situation at Oklahoma is unknown, but even if Dillon Gabriel can play, the Sooner's defense is still terrible and Jason Bean looked composed and ready to play last week against TCU.

Pick: Kansas +9.0

Iowa State @ Texas (UT -16.5)

Texas has an offense and defense playing well while also being at home. The only thing Iowa State has going for them is its defense. I don’t know where they will be able to score enough points to keep up with the Longhorns. The line is greater than two touchdowns but just under three scores. I will take Texas.

Pick: Texas - 16.5

Oklahoma State @ TCU (TCU -4.0)
This is probably the biggest game of the season in the conference. OSU played in the previous biggest game against Baylor and could come away with a win. They have experience being in these big games and not letting the moment get too big for them most of the time. TCU will be at home, but I will take a team with big-game experience and getting points. This could come down to a last-minute field goal, and OSU would still cover.
Pick: Oklahoma State +4.0
