Why The Atlanta Hawks Are a Great Fit for Pascal Siakam

Since the Atlanta Hawks lost John Collins, an integral part of the team, to the Utah Jazz and didn’t receive much in return, there has been a void in the starting power forward position. Trading for Pascal Siakam will help provide the Hawks with extra interior scoring to complement the more defensive-minded Clint Capela in the post. The Raptors will receive a player who can run the floor, drive to the rim, and score from anywhere on the court. Siakam can also be the experienced leader that the Atlanta Hawks need to move further into the playoffs, as the team struggled with two ball-dominant guards, Trae Young, and Dejounte Murray, trying to build chemistry. This is a level-up from Collins because though he was a key player for the Hawks, he was renowned for his defense rather than his offense, which is why the Hawks didn't get as much out of their frontcourt this season. The Atlanta Hawks are a team that has remained competitive in the Eastern Conference during the past few seasons and are looking to make the next steps to solidify themselves as a team to watch in a packed conference with teams like the Bucks, Celtics, 76ers, and Heat getting the lion's share of attention from the media. Therefore, Siakam joining the Hawks will make the team more relevant and give them the extra player they need to improve significantly from last season.
