The Ideal Draft for Each Team in the Southeast Division

Miami Heat

Jared McCain

This is a big stretch, but I see the Miami Heat moving up in the draft to get McCain. Jared McCain had a fantastic March Madness and proved to everyone that he is NBA-ready. He fits the Heat culture and can fill the missing Point Guard piece.

Washington Wizards

Alexandre Sarr

With the projected 2nd pick in the draft, I don’t believe the Pistons will take Sarr at one, which means he’ll fall to number 2. Sarr would be a great fit in Washington, where the Center rotation isn’t that great.

Orlando Magic

Ja’Kobe Walter

Walter was considered at one point a top-5 pick, but there were a few questions about his game. After struggling in the Big-12 Tournament, his draft stock fell. He can be an elite catch-and-shoot player for a Magic team that needs shooting.

Charlotte Hornets

Reed Sheppard

Reed Sheppard would be a great fit next to Lemalo Ball. Sheppard has high intensity on the defensive end and is able to shoot the three ball at a consistent rate.

Atlanta Hawks

Nikola Topic

The Atlanta Hawks are very concerned about Trae Young's future, so they drafted his replacement. Topic was considered to be a top pick in this draft, but injuries lowered his draft stock. He’s a dynamic point guard who can run the Hawks offense really well.
