The Cash Cow
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the main topics of this NBA season. The Lakers have not had a great season as they were expected to, they currently are the 9th seed and below .500 with playoff chances slipping further and further away after every loss. But where ever there is shadow there is light and the light for the Lakers this season has been the play of LeBron James.
At the age of 37 LeBron has been brilliant this season playing at an MVP level. Despite the Laker’s struggles this season LeBron is currently averaging 29pts, 8rbs, 6.5ast, putting this Lakers team on his back when most players’ careers would have started to decline at his LeBron seems to continue to exceed his limits, which could show to be very important in the near future.
Bronny James Jr is currently a junior playing Sierra Canyon Highschool. He is ranked 43rd in ESPN’s Top 60 high school players in the class of 2023. As of now, Bronny is a 6’3 point guard with a high upside due to his size, feel for the game, and the fact he’s the son of LeBron James makes him a player you do not want to take your eyes off of. Bronny is currently sitting on offers from Duke. Kansas, University of Kentucky, North Carolina, and UCLA. Bronny is currently a one-and-done prospect and is a junior which could potentially land him in the NBA in the next 2 to 3 years, as of now Bronny’s future looks bright but it may have gotten even brighter.
Today LeBron declared that he will play his last season with his son Bronny regardless of where Bronny is to land stating that he would do whatever it takes to do so…
“My last year will be played with my son… Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”
- LeBron JAMES
this statement from LeBron not only will possibly raise Bronny’s draft stock but it will potentially make LeBron the cash cow of the league teams now know that if they are to draft Bronny it is guaranteed they will be able to host LeBron’s farewell tour which will bring in a ton of revenue for whichever organization is able to land Bronny. Furthermore, LeBron does not look like he is slowing down playing-wise anytime soon to be still be playing at an MVP level at 37 years old show that LeBron has more left in the tank for at least 3 or more seasons.
In a couple, Bronny will be on the draft board and regardless of where Bronny may be projected teams could possibly pass up an once in a lifetime opportunity or possibly make a decision that may affect the trajectory of their entire franchise. It will be excited to see how this will play out and where LeBron and Bronny will maybe LeBron will return to Cleveland only time will tell but where they land it will be amazing for the basketball world to witness history.
