Stephen Curry suffers leg injury in win vs. Mavericks
Golden State’s superstar Stephen Curry is expected to miss multiple weeks, according to Shams Charania. Curry suffered his leg injury in a Saturday night matchup vs. the Dallas Mavericks while trying to stop a Mavericks player from driving to the basket.
The Golden State Warriors are standing as the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a record of 27-26. Curry has been playing at an MVP level, and his injury could be a concern for the Warriors’ play-in and playoff hopes, with the battle of the West being very tight.
The Warriors will turn to their former All-Stars, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, and their young rising star Jordan Poole to lead this team through his injury. Poole and Klay have shown that they can go off for thirty points on any given night. However, there is no true replacement for the all-time three-point leader.
Curry will also not be able to participate in the All-Star game in Utah despite being voted in as a starter and having the most fan votes out of any guard in the West. So, unfortunately, Curry won’t be able to give the fans what they want.
Do you think the Warriors can still make the playoffs with the injury to Curry? Who do you think should replace Curry in the All-Star game?
